Not every memorable photograph comes from a far‑flung adventure. Sometimes the perfect opportunity is waiting just around the corner. The Gosford Waterfront is only a stone’s throw from home, and countless times I’ve driven past the restaurant at night thinking, “That would make a great shot.”
On an early spring evening, I finally stopped to capture it. The air was still warm, the deck was buzzing with diners, and the restaurant’s sail structure stood out beautifully against the dark sky.
I’ve been told a copy of this photograph now hangs in the restaurant’s office — a small detail that makes the moment even more special.
