Forresters Beach

Photographed in May after sunrise from a vantage point at Terrigal, approximately six kilometres distant, Forresters Beach captures the Wyrrabalong headland rising from a bank of sea fog that has settled over the coast in the early morning. The headland’s wooded upper slopes and communication tower are clearly defined against a pale blue sky laced with high cloud, while below them the fog has erased the cliffs, the beach and the water’s surface entirely — leaving the headland apparently suspended above a luminous, golden-white haze.
