Norah Head Lighthouse and the Moon, Norah Head, Central Coast, NSW
Photographed in March at Norah Head on the NSW Central Coast, Norah Head Lighthouse and the Moon captures a rare alignment — the setting full moon positioned almost perfectly alongside the lighthouse tower in the minutes after sunrise. The sky transitions from deep pre-dawn blue overhead to warm peach on the western horizon, while the sandstone headland, rock platform and beach provide a richly detailed foreground across the wide panoramic frame. The timing of the photograph is fascinating – photographed as the sun rises and the moon sets – both a beginning and an end in the same frame.
